Roger Krueger is the president of Great Plains Benefits Group, Inc./GPBG Employer Advisers, the company he founded in 1988, in Bismarck, North Dakota.  GPBG Employer Advisers is a multi-service personnel and business development consulting firm which has provided its products and services to over 800 clients in 11 states and a Canadian Province. Roger was born and raised in South Dakota where he attended Dakota State College prior to commencing his professional career.  He has 40 years of experience in public service and non-profit health agency fund-raising and personnel management.


Seventeen of those years were spent as a Senior Manager for Personnel and Fund-Raising with the American Cancer Society, Inc. in state and national capacities.  During his tenure with the ACS he staffed or assisted in staffing the Field Services Committees and/or sub-committees at both the state and national level.  He managed and directed the activities resulting in the raising of over $25,000,000.00 for the American Cancer Society in three different Divisions (states).


He regularly participates in continuing education and advanced training in the use of Behavior Profiles, Personal Interests, Attitudes and Values, and many related skills and behavior measurement instruments. Additionally he possesses 8 years of law enforcement training and experience.


Linkedin_BadgeHe has redesigned, re-engineered and reorganized scores of companies, including banks, non-profit agencies, insurance companies, agri-businesses and cooperatives, to better equip them to meet the challenging demands of their rapidly changing cultures. Specific emphasis is provided for; short/long range planning, strategic planning, succession planning, exit strategies, and change verses transitional adaptation.   He has served as an executive trainer for bank presidents, nursing home administrators, agricultural cooperative executives, insurance and investments consortium, transportation companies, etc. He has served as a personnel consultant to 37 of the 53 counties in North Dakota. Roger has been honored to serve Human Resource and Agency planning needs for over 6 Developmentally Disabled Agencies in two states, in some cases  for over  20 years.


Roger and his staff have pioneered Board of Director Governance Training Programs principally based on the research and writings of John Carver.  He has authored Board of Director Handbooks for 12 corporations, both for-profit and non-profit corporations.  Issues related to succession planning and exiting strategies for senior executives and/or board members are specifically integrated into these presentations.
